Dream Meaning
Dreams are such a source of intrigue, huh? From nightmares to those really beautiful experiences you don't want to relinquish, we all have a reason to want to know more.
I love dreams, and I firmly believe they have meaning. I believe that God speaks messages to us through some dreams, and I believe that other dreams help us understand what we're feeling inside.
If the topic has often interested you, but you don't know where to start, read below for a few common dream symbols and their typical meanings. Note that colors and context will help you determine how to apply the symbols. Just remember, dreams and symbols are personal. This isn't a set-in-stone guide, but just a jumping off point to get you started on further exploration. Enjoy!
1. Teeth Falling Out: Teeth often represent wisdom. Colloquially, "chewing on" something means thinking it through. Having a dream in which your teeth fall out while you are at work or school, for instance, may mean that you feel like you lack wisdom for your tasks at hand. On the other hand, if you are really having a problem with your actual teeth, a dream about your teeth falling out may represent your fear of your toothache escalating.
2. Flying: Dreams about flying often speak of freedom. They speak of coming into a new place in your life in which you can rise freely above circumstances.
3. Falling: These dreams represent feelings of being out of control in various areas in your life. For example, let's say you're a grad student. You dream that are wearing your childhood school uniform and are falling through the sky. This may mean you're feeling out of control in your academics, and these insecurities come from something that happened in your primary schooling days.
4. Houses: Houses generally represent your life. If you dream about being locked inside your house by someone from your past, for example, this may represent that an old relationship has left you feeling unseen or unheard.
5. Snakes, Spiders, and Scorpions: These creatures usually represent the occult and potential spirits at work in your life. Snakes speak of dishonesty, spiders of witchcraft/control, and scorpions of hurtful and spiteful forces around you. If you're seeing these in your dreams, you'll need to ask God to remove the force. For instance, to dream that your boss gives you a spider means your boss is operating under a spirit of witchcraft and is trying to control you. Always remember that it's not about the person, but the spirit influencing him or her. You'll need to pray that God removes this force from your their life and yours, and He will!
6. Nudity and Sexual Dreams: Nudity represents vulnerability. This can be good, meaning you feel free to be yourself. It can also be negative, meaning you feel exposed. Pay attention to context and color. If you dream that you're naked in a crowd, desperately trying to cover yourself, that's not good. On the other hand, you may dream you're wearing white undies while talking to your husband. This means you're open and honest in your relationship with him.
Sexual dreams are usually about unity, good or bad. Once I dreamed about kissing the leader of a certain ministry. It doesn't mean I have latent feelings for this married man! It means that I'm coming into agreement with this ministry, and my own life and work will begin to incorporate components of his ministry. On the other hand, if I dream of kissing a snake, this means I'm agreeing with a lie, and I need to change my thinking.
7. Birds: Bird dreams are usually good and can represent spiritual soaring. It all depends on what kind of bird. If you dream about a dove, this represents the Holy Spirit of God who wants to work in your life to reveal God's love to you. Eagles are about having sharp vision and discernment of a situation, cardinals and bluejays about speaking warning to others, and sparrows about being cared for by God. Vultures and birds of prey speak of theft. For example, if you dream that the new person you're considering hiring turns into a vulture, it likely means he or she has a mind to steal from your business and shouldn't be hired.

ReplyDeleteGreat! I got an owl for wise. Had teeth falling out recently,a bat a few times a la occult bad spirit, naked in crowds, woke up punching the wall really hard several times.
Last night I was on a couch in the dark, a woman sitting next to me to the right, and a guy sitting to the left of me on another couch and a tv. I asked them, "who are you guys voting for?" She turned to the guy and became irate and fussy, "what do you mean who?" It was Chelsea Clinton. He got reassuring and I got very apologetic and appeasing. I suppose I felt compromised.
So yesterday a friend said that his relationship with his wife was on the rocks. He even said that if he wasn't happy by the time his kids left the home, that divorce was an option. I wanted to kill him. I'd love to have what he has. I perceived that it had less to do with her behavior, and gobs to do with his, and that he'd hurt her deeply. We were in his tree house trying to have a Bible time, but that was moot. She came below and twirled her new hair cut, and the fist thing I recall noticing about Chelsea before I knew it was Chelsea, was her nice hair. This is coming together a little. 5 minutes later, she yelled to me to move my car so she could get out & I went and did, before the garbage truck that was coming got there(maybe I should've waited?), when she waved by I felt uncomfortable because of what I knew--brief and feigning eye contact, so not to seem overtly appeasing, but she's very intelligent. But maybe if she got pissed off a little it'd keep her from getting walked over more about the deal. So the dream of Chelsea is the fear of saying something and letting the cat outta the bag, but agitation to form a kinda callous around a matter. Notable of course, was that Chelsea is on the left with nice hair, and he's on the right, kinda in the dark.
New boundaries in place and praying.
Peace, Stacey!
Kinda cool, after this, Saturday night at church the pastor preached a message about disagreements between couples, that my pal heard the next morning. A little grace applied I hope, and maybe a tree house sanitized! Who to say.
DeleteHey friend! Wow, sounds like you really have the calling of an intercessor for your friends. I'm so glad for the answer to prayer as God spoke to your friend at church through the pastor. It may be that the garbage truck represents the "trash being taken out," so to speak. A big movement/ministry of God that will come and redeem their marriage.
DeleteThanks for sharing your testimonies. Prayers and blessings to you!
